Your first steps with TAD
Start simple.
Learn as you go.
No ten-video commitment. Use the step you need, then come back when you have a question. New to TradingView? Start with access and adding the indicator.
Step 1
Get access to the TAD indicator
Already have a TradingView account? We still need to unlock the TAD indicator on that account. Request your free indicator trial with your email and public TradingView username. If you do not have an account yet, create a free one and send us the username from the email address you used to sign up. Never send your password.
Activation is manual and can take up to 48 hours after we receive your username. Submitting the form does not immediately add the indicator. If access is still missing after that window, contact support.
Request your trial →Step 2
Add TAD to your chart
- Sign in to the same TradingView account whose username you supplied.
- Open a chart, then open the Indicators menu.
- Find the invite-only scripts section and select the Trading Assistant Dingue publication you were granted.
- If it is missing, refresh TradingView and check your account. A chart at its indicator limit may need an existing indicator removed first.
Menu names can vary with TradingView’s language and interface updates. If you are stuck, tell support your username and what you see; no account password is needed.
Step 3
Keep the automatic starting setup
Start with the default Auto Strategy. Its preset lengths and settings adapt to most charts and timeframes. You do not need to choose every input before seeing TAD work.
Change to another familiar chart or timeframe and observe the display. Automatic settings are not an order-execution service or proof that a setup will be profitable. Backtesting is a separate capability in the current Business package.
What Auto Strategy means →Step 4
Recognize the essentials
Find a long or short signal, then its displayed targets and stop levels. Long describes an upward-direction setup; short describes a downward-direction setup. A signal can be followed by the opposite move.
Read the levels before deciding whether to act. A displayed stop is not an order placed in your account. Start by observing older examples and reviewing unsuccessful signals too.
Read your first TAD chart →Step 5
Follow signals without watching constantly
Alerts are included in the current Advanced and Business packages. In TradingView, open the alert dialog and choose the relevant TAD condition. Check the symbol, timeframe, trigger timing and notification destination before saving.
Available alert types and limits depend on your TradingView plan. Check the alert after changing the chart or indicator settings; do not assume a saved alert automatically follows your changes. Use the demonstration for the condition you want to monitor.

Share the symbol, timeframe, TAD publication and a redacted screenshot. Keep account balances, emails and credentials out of public posts.
